Public meeting set on transportation along U.S. 221 in Forest for Sept. 12
Bedford County and area residents are invited to share their feedback about transportation along U.S. 221 in Forest, a hot-button topic with ongoing development in that community, at a public meeting Thursday.
The meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at Forest Middle School, 100 Ashwood Drive, Forest. An online survey will be released soon as well, according to a county news release.
Charlottesville-based company EPR, Inc., in partnership with the Central Virginia Transportation Planning Organization, the Virginia Department of Transportation and Bedford County stakeholders, is conducting a Route 221 Corridor study between Perrowville Road and Graves Mill Road.
“Your input is valuable as the study aims to address current and future congestion, safety concerns, access management, and multimodal mobility needs in three specific segments,” the release said.
