Modeling in 2024 is about so much more than wearing clothes. Today, models are coupling activism, art, and business in ways that the ones before them never had the opportunity to. While there are hundreds of amazing models around the world, this fashion month we met with 14 of them to get to know what it’s really like to work on that side of the fashion industry.

While you may recognize some of these faces from your favorite runway shows, magazine covers, advertising campaigns, or social media platforms, others are just beginning their careers. Hailing from all over the world, we had the chance to briefly meet these models in New York as they were rushing between castings, fittings, shoots, shows (still in their show hair and makeup), or right before heading to the airport.
