MEDINA, Ohio — The site at 257 S. Court St. was packed with city, county and state officials, developers, business owners and excited community members July 26 as Medina prepared for the groundbreaking of the Legacy Hotel.
“It is with great excitement and immense pride that we gather here today for the groundbreaking of what promises to be a transformative addition to our cherished community,” said Medina Economic Development Director Kimberly Marshall.
“I have been with Medina for a little over 13 years, and this project is something I’ve dreamed about and thought about and talked about.
“This is more than just a new building … it represents a vision of the dedication of so many who have worked tirelessly to bring this project to life.”
Developer Jason Stevenson, CEO of Autonomy Capital Group, said the first task is demolition of some of the buildings on the site.
