Meals that Matter- Tyson Foods serve hot meals to impacted residents in McCook Lake [Video]

MCCOOK LAKE, SD (KTIV) – A local business and its volunteers provided hot meals to impacted flood survivors on Saturday.

Tyson Foods planned to give out 5,000 meals, grilling up chicken breast, hot dogs and chicken wings with added sides to impacted families in McCook Lake, South Dakota.

Volunteers from nearby food plants were able to help Tyson Foods with cooking and packing the meals.

Tyson Food’s Senior Specialist, Jeannie McCullay says it’s humbling when Tyson gets to offer support to communities in need.

“When you have that opportunity to give back to people it’s humbling,” said McCullay. “We know that some of them are without power that are in need of these hot meals and that is what we try to do is provide that.”
