In an email to the Mead High School community, Principal Kimberly Jensen said:
“Panther Families,
It is with a heavy heart that I share sad news with you — Panther Nation has lost one of its own today. Out of respect for the student’s family, we are sharing no further information at this time.
Our district crisis team, along with our school counseling team, will be available to support students and staff as we navigate this loss. The crisis team will be on-site Friday, Monday, and Tuesday, and as needed after the Thanksgiving break.
Hearing news like this can bring up many emotions and remind us of other losses. Grief can show up in unexpected ways, and it’s important to remember that everyone grieves differently.
If your Panther needs support or is struggling, please do not hesitate to reach out to us now or in the future.”
