MCTS recommends ‘pausing’ new rapid bus line amid county financial woes [Video]

It’s a new rapid transit bus route that Milwaukee County said would connect communities of color to jobs and essential services.But now, officials may be pumping the brakes on the expansion plan.Milwaukee County Transit System already has a rapid transit route, called CONNECT 1, going east to west on Wisconsin Avenue from downtown Milwaukee to Wauwatosa.The county made plans to create another rapid transit route, called CONNECT 2, running north to south on 27th Street from Glendale to Oak Creek.
