McDonalds new Grandma McFlurry: A dessert with a dash of nostalgia [Video]

McDonald’s has been getting creative with introducing new flavors of their iconic dessert, the McFlurry. This time around, they are introducing the “Grandma McFlurry,” for all the grandmothers who keep mystery candies on her at all times for her grandkids.

Grandmas have always held a special place in our hearts, and today they’re having a major moment influencing culture – inspiring trends in fashion, decor, and now, even food with our newest McFlurry,” said Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s. “The Grandma McFlurry tastes like a trip down memory lane, and we’re excited to give our fans that experience while honoring the grandma figure in all our lives.”

The McFlurry will be made with vanilla soft serve, syrup, and “crunch candy pieces reminiscent of the treats she tucked away in her purse.”

Although McDonald’s has not specified what the flavor will be, there have been hints of a butterscotch or caramel-flavored candy.
