McAdenville to kick off annual Christmas light display Monday: What to know [Video]

MCADENVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) – Christmas Town U.S.A. will be back up and running in Gaston County this holiday season, beginning Monday evening.

The famous McAdenville light display will be open to the public Dec. 2-26, and will kick off with the annual tree lighting ceremony Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Dynamo 31 building on Main Street.

Each night, the lights will shine from 5:30-10 p.m. Visitors will be able to walk or drive through the town.

The traditional Yule Log Parade is set for Thursday, Dec. 12. During it, a local high school band will lead the community on a parade, pulling a yule log that will be thrown onto the fire at the Yule Log Fireplace at Legacy Park.

Another highlight of this year’s festivities is the Santa’s Workshop that will be set up at North Pole Park on Saturday, Dec. 7.
