(MAYSVILLE, Mo.) An update to a story we brought you earlier.  As the city of Maysville is going on nearly a month of a boil advisory after 15 years without having to issue one.

The boil order causing major difficulties for households and straining businesses.  Tonight, their city council met with an environmental specialist from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to get closer to clean water once again…

Since Maysville issued a boil order on August 28th.  They were given a window to reply to the Department of Natural Resources with a plan, and they’re still within that window. 

Solutions and plans were proposed at the meeting. Obstacles include the time for water to cycle through before further successful testing, and budgetary restraints. The City’s long-term plan is to purchase water through Great Northwest Wholesale Water which will patch into Missouri American Water’s system, so replacing their treatment plant …
