Mayor Norton works to create ‘a compassionate city’ in 2025 | News [Video]

ROCHESTER, Minn. – 2024 was the year of change, according to Mayor Kim Norton. 

One year ago, the Bold. Forward. Unbound. Project was announced, creating change, excitement, and uncertainty for our city. Throughout the year, planning and groundbreaking of these projects began and contributed to a major milestone in 2024. 

Mayor Norton says that this year many downtown businesses continued to rebound after the pandemic. The Med City also brought hundreds of exciting and new events to downtown in order to create a vibrant community. Through these positives, there were still challenges, especially during City Council meetings this year, she says. But, as she looks back on 2024, here is what she is most proud of.
