YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KLFY) — Matt Thomassee is running for Chief of Police after 25 years in law enforcement and private investigations.
Thomassee said the biggest focus of his campaign is to put a fresh set of eyes on the police department.
“We need to go in there and have a full, comprehensive review completed of the department, so we know where our weaknesses and our strengths are,” Thomassee said. “So, we can make the proper adjustments to better serve the community.”
Thomassee has 25 years of combined experience in law enforcement, private investigation, and private security work.
His “Thomassee Plan” focuses on public safety, leadership, community engagement and fiscal responsibility. Thomassee said his plan is to determine long-term goals after completing an operational review of the police department.
