A Cape Cod woman was killed and a Cape Cod man was seriously injured in a single-car crash on I-495 in Bridgewater Saturday afternoon, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Mashpee resident Lana Testa, 74, was killed in the crash, which happened on the southbound side of the road around 3:15 p.m., state police said in a press release. The driver — a 79-year-old Mashpee man — was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers’ initial investigation indicates that a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling on I-495 when, for reasons still under investigation, it went into the wooded median of the road and rolled over, state police said. Testa was declared dead at the scene.
