Mary Lynne Stratta retiring as Bryan city secretary [Video]

Bryan native Mary Lynne Stratta says she’s had over 238 bosses during her 34-year career as Bryan’s longest-serving city secretary, often having signed the birth certificates of Bryan-born children and their parents.

On Thursday, she will officially retire from the position and looks forward to spending time with her 10 grandchildren, taking Alaskan cruises, learning piano, visiting every national park and staying engaged in local legislature.

“I bought a little motor home, I’m going to throw my husband and the dog in it and take off,” she said. “I’ll also be doing a little consulting, helping cities out with some things, but only when and where I want to.”
