Marketing, AI and consumer sentiment to the fore at MII breakfast discussion [Video]

Pressing issues such as AI, creativity and lingering consumer “hurt” following the cost-of-living crisis dominated the Marketing Institute of Ireland’s (MII) panel discussion on future-proofing marketing strategy this morning (28 November).

Taking place before a packed audience of marketers at the DMG Media Ireland hub on Haddington Road, the breakfast event built on BusinessPlus.ie and The Indie List‘s recent PLAN 25 webinar series.

The discussion was led by Indie List co-founder Una Herlihy and featured insights from three of Ireland’s most influential marketing minds: Amárach Research chairman Gerard O’Neill, generative AI consultant Karen Howley, and Chemistry founder Ray Sheerin.

O’Neill started by delving into the consumer sentiment and outlook on the eve of the general election, revealing a reticence to spend despite positive headline economic indicators.
