PEORIA (25News Now) – Peoria Police say a man and woman are in the hospital after an altercation led to both being injured.
Police say the man was shot once in the chest and was taken to a hospital. The woman sustained “significant” injuries as a result of the struggle inside an apartment in the 2100 block of North Linn.
Officers had been called around 2:20 a.m. Friday. Police say both are in the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing.
