Man killed while walking near N.J. racetrack [Video]

A 76-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday morning near Freehold Raceway, authorities said.

Frank Tommasini was walking across Park Avenue (Route 33) from a parking lot when a westbound cargo van struck him at 11:23 a.m. near the corner of Ann Street in Freehold Borough, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday.

Tommasini, of Manalapan, was pronounced dead at the scene.
