New Hampshire’s Conway Police Department said it started investigating the man due to suspicious activity at a high school boys’ soccer game.
CONWAY, N.H. — A man from Fryeburg is facing charges for allegedly possessing child sex abuse images.
Two female students at Kennett High School in Conway, New Hampshire, reported to their school resource officer a man’s suspicious activity at a boys’ soccer game on Thursday, Sept. 19, Conway Police Chief Christopher Mattei said in a press release.
After a brief interaction with the man, identified as 43-year-old Christopher Evans of Fryeburg, police took him into custody for loitering and prowling. He was released later that evening, according to Mattei.
Following the incident, police decided to do a more in-depth investigation into Evans’ conduct. As a result of the investigation, police were granted a warrant for Evans’ arrest, according to the release.
