Man fatally shot in attempted robbery in Downtown L.A. [Video]

A 20-year-old man was fatally shot during a robbery at an apartment building in downtown Los Angeles, and police continued to search for three suspects, authorities said Tuesday.

The robbery occurred at around 3:30 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Eighth Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

“The victim was struck at least once with multiple shots fired. One suspect used a handgun and opened fire, with one suspect who fled in a vehicle and two who fled on foot,” LAPD Media Relations told City News Service.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.
