Man dead after being hit on Greenburg Road in Columbia [Video]

COLUMBIA, Ky. — A person is dead after a crash on Saturday in Adair County, according to a press release from the Kentucky State Police. 

They say troopers responded to Greensburg Road in Columbia around 7:30 p.m. about a collision.

A Chevrolet 1500 pickup was parked in the northbound lane of Greensburg Road, facing south.

54-year-old Chad Pegg was standing near the front of the pickup. 

A 74-year-old woman was driving a Ford Edge going north on Greenburg Road when she collided with the pickup and Pegg.

Pegg was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adair County Coroner.

The driver of the pickup, 36-year-old Samuel Derosset, was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.

The woman, Norma Shirley, was also taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
