According to police, the shooting took place Thursday evening in the 800 block of Wide Street.
NORFOLK, Va. — A man has been arrested and charged in connection to a Thursday evening shooting in Norfolk, according to a press release from the city’s Police Department.
Around 10:35 p.m. on Oct. 3, officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 800 block of Wide Street.
When they arrived at the scene, law enforcement found a 30-year-old woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound; she was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said their investigation yielded them a suspect, 32-year-old Rico L. Lindsey. He is charged with malicious wounding, possession of a firearm by a felon, use of a firearm, shooting into an occupied building and shooting during the commission of a felony.
Lindsey is being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
