Man arrested for carrying concealed AR-15 weapon [Video]

OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office announced they arrested a man carrying a concealed AR-15 style weapon and 3D-printing conversion devices.

In a statement on X, the sheriff’s office said the man was out on bond for a May 2024 felony for a controlled substance charge. The Gun Violence Task Force— comprised of the sheriff’s office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives—discovered the suspect was printing, installing and advertising Machinegun Conversion Devices (MCDs) for Glock pistols.

MCDs turn a semi automatic weapon into a fully automatic one.

A search warrant led to the discovery of a 3D printer, a 3D printed pistol and 13 Glock MCDs.

The sheriff’s office announced the arrest on Sunday just after 4 p.m., but did not specify where or when it took place. No further information was released about the suspect.
