A man accused of shooting and killing a 22-year-old pregnant woman in Kenosha on Sept. 6 is now in custody and will be transported back to Kenosha following an extradition hearing.
Lawrence G. Franklin was arrested Thursday in Plano, Texas by the United States Marshal Service’s Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force with assistance from the Plano Police Department, according to a press release from the Kenosha Police Department. He will attend an extradition hearing in Texas before being transported back to Kenosha.
Franklin, of South Milwaukee, was charged Sept. 9 with first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and four counts of felony bail jumping, according to court records.
