Over 300,000 are still without power in North Carolina.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Duke Energy has already restored 1.35 million customer power outages across North and South Carolina since Helene hit the region, but there’s still more work to do.

The company said in a press release it plans to have the majority of the 346,000 outages left in North Carolina restored by Friday night.

Over one million people in North Carolina lost power as a result of Helene, according to Duke Energy.
