Major ticket seller suffers data breach: Was your identity stolen? [Video]

Ticketmaster’s data has been breached — and your information may be involved.

Ticketmaster recently discovered “unauthorized activity on an isolated cloud database hosted by a third-party data services provider,” according to its website.

Customer information, including “email, phone number, encrypted credit card information as well as some other personal information” could have been tangled in with the breach, the announcement said.

Ticketmaster patrons impacted by the breach include those who purchased North American-based tickets. A notice letter obtained by the Advance/SILive.com details the “unauthorized activity” that occurred between April 2, 2024, and May 18, 2024.

In the letter to affected customers, Ticketmaster admits that it “determined that some of your personal information may have been affected by the incident,” on May 23, 2024. The letter is dated July 17, 2024, and arrived in the mailbox in early August.

The website states that Ticketmaster is still alerting individuals affected by the breach through mail, electronically or physically.
