Maine polling places see long lines shortly before closing time [Video]

Several communities in Maine had long lines of voters waiting to cast their ballots shortly before the polls closed at 8 p.m. Tuesday.In Lisbon, police said some of the people who were waiting to vote at Lisbon High School at 7:30 p.m. faced a two-hour wait. One Lisbon voter told Maine’s Total Coverage that he waited even longer that than to cast his ballot.”I got here around 5:30 p.m. and I just voted and it’s around 9 p.m., so three and a half hours,” said Chris Rugullies. “It was wrapped all the way to the front of the gym and I’ve never seen it like that before.”Connor Clement of Maine’s Total Coverage shared a photo of what the line looked like shortly before 7:30 p.m.Maine’s Total Coverage also learned there were long lines at polling places in Portland, South Portland and Windham as the polls were set to close.Voters should …
