SKOWHEGAN, Maine (WABI) – A group of Maine business owners are banding together to help some of the most vulnerable victims of the Los Angeles-area fires.
Making a difference one stitch at a time. That’s the goal behind the brand-new “Sending Love from Coast to Coast” fundraiser.
“It’s honestly so hard to be at the opposite side of the country and see this stuff go on. Not being able to physically be there, we wanted to do something to send our love and appreciation,” said Mia Gezik, owner, Good Stock Maine.
The fundraiser is a collaboration among five Maine businesses: Catalyst for Change Wear, Good Stock Maine, The Tilly Project, The Magic Sprout, and Hot Girl Quilting.
Two of those businesses are owned by Smithfield natives: Kyle Poissonnier of CFC Wear and Josey Bornstein of HGQ.
