CLEVELAND — A man was killed in a crash in Ashtabula County after crashing a three-wheel motorcycle into a tree during a rainstorm and being ejected from the vehicle, highway troopers said Sunday.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a press release that the crash happened Saturday on State Route 45 in Morgan Township near milepost 13 just after 4 p.m.
According to troopers, Canfield resident Peter J. Raptis, 43, was driving a Polaris Slingshot three-wheeler in the rain with another passenger when it veered off the side of the rode and hit a tree. Raptis was ejected from the vehicle. Both occupants were transported to a hospital with injuries.
Raptis was later pronounced dead at a hospital by medical staff. The highway …
