TFT transit adds cash payment option to app

TWIN FALLS — RIDE TFT passengers can now pay for rides with cash through the Ride TFT app beginning Feb. 1.

RIDE TFT vehicles are parked outside a Twin Falls facility. The transit service will begin accepting cash payments through its mobile app starting Feb. 1, eliminating the need for many riders to call dispatch for scheduling.

Passengers will no longer need to call dispatch to schedule rides. After the app updates, passengers can select “Pay with cash/voucher” and present payment to the driver at pickup.

The new payment method also works for Ride TFT vouchers and LINC card users. Drivers do not carry change, so exact fare is required.

The update will not affect passengers who still need to use the dispatch phone number.

For questions, contact Transit Coordinator Maxine Durand at 208-735-7347 or mdurand@tfid.org.
