A grand jury has indicted a 57-year-old man on a murder charge in connection with the death of his girlfriend, who was stabbed to death at a Lunenberg trailer park in December 2023.
Lunenberg resident Orlando Garcia Rosado is accused of killing 53-year-old Maria Murray in their home at 1790 Massachusetts Ave. the day after Christmas, the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office said in a Monday press release.
Authorities began investigating Murray’s death after a 911 caller reported that Orlando had stabbed Murray multiple times around 8:45 p.m. that day, according to court documents. First responders found Murray lying on the kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds in her back.
Murray was taken to Leominster Hospital where she was declared dead, according to court documents. Police searched the house for Garcia Rosado, but he was nowhere to be found.
