LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Art students from Elliot Elementary and Lincoln High got to showcase a collaboration of their work at the Monster Jam Art Show Wednesday evening.
Elliot students worked to create friendly monsters of their own unique design about five weeks ago, which were then reimagined by the students at Lincoln High and then displayed side by side.
Jodi Heiser, Elliot’s art teacher, said it’s all about fostering creativity for the future.
“It’s important just so they can see what they can achieve as they grow,” she said. “It’s just fun for them to be able to look and see their ideas come to life in another way.”
Heiser said she emphasized the “friendly” aspect of students’ creations and said the only rule was that they had to be school-appropriate.
