Louisville’s Future Healers program releases health sciences book for children | Education [Video]

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville nonprofit focused on giving children affected by violence opportunities to learn has released a 100-page educational book.

Christopher 2X’s Game Changers has devoted resources to supporting children impacted by gun violence with the Future Healers program, which is a partnership between the Game Changers, UofL Hospital’s Trauma Institute and students at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. The goal of the program is to help Louisville children who have been impacted by violence in their neighborhoods to build a better future. 

The Future Healers program is celebrating its third anniversary in July. This month, the program released the Future Healers Journey to Wellness Personal Journal. It’s a 100-page book that blends fun and learning activities for a unique resource that focuses on wellness and health sciences.
