PEORIA (25News Now) – Showers will continue this evening and early tonight, but expect any rain to come to an end by midnight. Otherwise we’ll see lingering cloud cover overnight with lows in the low to mid 40s. Cloudy skies will continue tomorrow with highs on either side of 50. A few areas of patchy drizzle may also be possible, but otherwise it will be a dry day. Some of the forecast models are advertising some partial clearing in the afternoon, but I think they may be a little too optimistic. Even if we do see some clearing, we will see more clouds than sun tomorrow.
Our next chance for rain arrives late Saturday night and will continue through Sunday afternoon. Not every will see rain though, the highest chances will be for areas near and east of the Illinois River. After that, another chance for showers returns to our forecast Monday …
