Longtime Packers equipment manager retires [Video]

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – A mainstay of the Packers locker room is retiring.

Equipment manager Gordon “Red” Batty is ending a distinguished 43-season career in the NFL, including thirty years with Green Bay.

Batty got his start in sports equipment management at the age of 14 with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. His work in the NFL spans 683 regular season games, more than 50 postseason games, and involvement in Pro Bowls and event coordination.
