Local NTF chapter donates 61 Turkeys to the Banquet [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Banquet in Sioux Falls received a big donation on Wednesday, just in time for Thanksgiving.

Members of the National Wild Turkey Federation, East Dakota Chapter donated 61 turkeys to the downtown feeding ministry.

The Banquet said it relies on donations of Turkey and Ham to fulfill its needs throughout the entire year and greatly appreciates the community support.

“I think sometimes we take the holidays for granted. We get together with family, friends, and we have means to provide a nice meal and a nice place to have it. But people seem to forget there are a lot of people out there homeless or needy for whatever reason are struggling, and this is a great way to help them enjoy the holiday season,” said NTF State Chapter board member Ron Schauer.
