HAMPDEN — The Eastern Area Agency on Aging (EAAA) is a Brewer-based nonprofit who specializes in providing resources for older community members in Penobscot, Piscataquis, Washington, and Hancock counties.
On Wednesday, September 25th, a shipment of twenty pallets totaling forty-thousand pounds of pet food and supplies was delivered at Maine Trailer in Hampden. All of which will be utilized by the nonprofit’s Furry Friends Food Bank program.
Wednesday marked the second year in a row the nonprofit partnered with Maine Trailer to help deliver the pet food and supplies to Maine.
According EAAA Communications and Development Director Chris Hill, the twenty pallets came from the Humane Society of the United States and Chewy.
Through the Furry Friends Food Bank, the agency dishes out around twelve thousand pounds of pet food per month.
