Local holiday shopping thrives at Lexington’s Jingle Bell Bash [Video]

LEXINGTON, S.C. — The season of giving is upon us, and what better way to start your holiday shopping than by staying local?

That’s exactly what shoppers in Lexington did as they checked off items on their Christmas list during the annual Jingle Bell Bash.

“We have carried more Christmas this year that we’ve really ever carried, so a lot of those light up cute items like the gnomes that light up, the nativity scene, we have seen a lot of those get out of here,” said Andrea Snelgrove, marketing manager of Windgard’s Market.

It’s a years-long Christmas tradition that has seen increased traffic throughout the years, with more customers wanting to shop local instead of buying online or in brand stores.
