Local grocery store dismisses rumors claiming ICE was questioning customers’ immigration status | News [Video]

People on social media are shocked and outraged by rumors claiming people were being asked their immigration status at a local grocery store.

The posts claimed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were questioning Hispanic Americans at Oasis Fresh Market in north Tulsa and would be conducting raids.

When FOX23 spoke to the management there, they said they’re not sure why these rumors started because there has been no sign of ICE in this area.

“The first thing we did was go around to all of our employees and check in all the departments just to make sure we hadn’t missed anything because none of the management up front hadn’t seen anything and all of our employees confirmed that hadn’t happened. Then we ran back footage, camera footage, just to double check they hadn’t entered the parking lot but not come inside and there’s absolutely no evidence that ICE was …
