Some early holiday cheer found its way to Vermont’s state capital Saturday afternoon for the city’s annual Touch of Vermont Holiday Market. Dozens of local businesses from across the Green Mountains set up shop in the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Montpelier.From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., folks could get ahead on their holiday shopping and support Vermont vendors at the same time.The holiday market is making its return after some years away following the COVID-19 pandemic.NBC5 spoke with some shop owners who say that it is events like these that help keep the lights on.Derek Vanat owns Mad Crow Coffee Co. He says this was their debut event and they do not have a brick-and-mortar in Vermont yet.
