Linkin Park Reunites with New Singer 7 Years After Chester Bennington’s Death [Video]

Linkin Park is back — with additional band members and a new album.

On Thursday, Sept. 5, the rock outfit revealed they’ve added Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara as co-vocalist and Colin Brittain as drummer, seven years after bandleader Chester Bennington died by suicide.

The two additional musicians will join the lineup of Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn.

According to a press release, Shinoda, Delson, Farrell, and Hahn quietly began meeting up over the past few years. Instead of “trying to restart the band,” they wanted to work on their friendship and creative connection. After inviting different friends and creatives to join them in the studio, they found kinship with Armstong and Brittain. 

Linkin Park also announced their first new music in seven years with their blistering new single “The Emptiness Machine.”
