LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – SayDoSay Pottery Studio turns its students into vendors each year.
For about three years, the studio has been offering pottery classes to the community as well as hosting three annual markets, including their yearly holiday market, which took place inside the shop on Saturday.
The eight different vendors came to the market with a personal connection to the space: all the items they were selling and displaying were created by them in classes and sessions taken at the studios.
“There’s something to be said about creating something and putting in front of the public to look at,” said Mollie Leisinger, the owner of SayDoSay Pottery. “It can be very nerve-wracking, so I encourage them to do it because they make beautiful work. It’s very special to give a handmade gift because of the creativity and time and effort that goes into making the work.”
