Lincoln Earth Day event back for another year, teaching the Capital City how to go green [Video]

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The actual holiday isn’t until Monday, but on Saturday the city of Lincoln is celebrating the planet with the annual ‘Earth Day Celebration’.

The event is in it’s 11th year, and is being held on Innovation Campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

At the event, more than 40 organizations from around the area will be set up discussing ways you can be environmentally friendly. Also on hand will be family friendly activities like a petting zoo, face painting and a book nook.

There will be food trucks, music and a clothing swap where you’re encouraged to bring gently used clothes and swap them for something new.
