LifeSouth hosts Joy of Giving Blood Drive [Video]

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is calling on the community to roll up their sleeves for the 5th Annual Joy of Giving Blood Drive this Saturday, December 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will take place at LifeSouth’s North Alabama Donor Centers and offers donors the chance to win prizes. Every blood donor will receive a $20 e-gift card, while those who donate platelets or double red cells will earn an additional $20 e-gift card. Donors will also take home a limited-edition t-shirt (while supplies last) and enjoy refreshments.

LifeSouth stresses the need for a steady blood supply during the holidays, as donations often decline this time of year. According to LifeSouth, local donors provide critical support for North Alabama hospital patients, including accident victims, those undergoing surgery, and individuals battling cancer.
