Libya Joins afreximbank, Boosting Intra-African Trade
Libya has officially become the 53rd member of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), marking a meaningful step towards strengthening continental trade and progress. This move brings nearly all African nations under the umbrella of the financial institution dedicated to promoting intra-African trade.Libya’s accession opens the door to collaboration on key development projects, with a focus on facilitating trade, infrastructure development, and financial support for the North African nation. Dr. Khaled Al-Mabrouk Abdullah, Libya’s Minister of Finance, signed the accession document, paving the way for a partnership that promises to revitalize Libya’s economy.
