Lexington Police hold free, public classes on crisis situations [Video]

Stop the Bleed and CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) training classes scheduled for dates in July, August and September

LEXINGTON, S.C. — Lexington Police have scheduled free for the public classes designed to give attendees the tools to deal with different crisis situations they may encounter.

Stop The Bleed teaches participants three quick actions that can be used to save a life with the use of tourniquets and wound packing.

CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) is designed around the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by ALERRT, for strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.

Each class will begin at 6 p.m. and last two hours long, and will be taught in the training room at the Lexington Police Department at 111 Maiden Lane in Lexington.
