Columbia’s Let’s Build Together program seeks partners to develop affordable single-family housing solutions
COLUMBIA, S.C. — If you belong to a church or non-profit that owns vacant lots and/or rental properties and your organization has an interest in developing single family housing for sale or rent, you are encouraged to attend an information session hosted by the City of Columbia and District One Councilwoman Tina Herbert.
The Let’s Build Together session will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, at the City’s Wastewater Management Facility, 4013 West Beltline Blvd.
Let’s Build Together was launched in 2023 with representatives from Columbia’s community and economic development department, affordable housing task force members and local developers meeting with local landowners to share information about the city’s goals of providing safe and affordable housing within Columbia’s city limits.
Some of the eligible projects include:
- new construction of affordable rental property
- rehabilitation of affordable rental property
- single-family affordable homeownership projects
