Legendary country and gospel stars son dead at 65 [Video]

Oak Ridge Boys band member William Lee Golden’s son — William “Rusty” Golden — died Monday. He was 65.

William “Rusty” Golden died at his home in Hendersonville, just outside of Nashville, Tenn., according to a press release. No cause of death was revealed.

“This is the hardest thing ever for a father to have to face,” Golden, 85, said in a statement. “I love my family more than anything. Rusty was a great musician, a talented songwriter, and a wonderful son. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers for the days ahead. I love you, son.”

The Oak Ridge Boys official Facebook account also shared a tribute to Golden’s son.
