LEBANON, Mo. (KY3) – Lebanon City leaders will soon begin searching for a new city administrator.
Mike Schumacher will leave next month to become the city manager of St. Joseph. The move will bring him closer to his family.
Schumacher says whoever replaces him will inherit a thriving, well-managed city.
“Lebanon is positioned incredibly well,” said Schumacher. “We have attracted new business and business expansion. Our growth and population is about 3.5 percent, which is better and faster than any community around us. We’re pro-business. We are open for business. Both residential and commercial development, and folks know that. None of that would have been accomplished without the support of the mayor, council, and community, as well as the hard work of the employees here in Lebanon.”
Springfield City Manager Jason Gage was also a finalist for the St. Joseph position. Gage will step down from his post in January.
