SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – While local or state governments own most of the snow plows you see on the roads, some belong to lawn care business owners. They are paid to clear private residences and commercial lots.
Matthew Krueger, owner of Magnum Property Solutions, suggests some steps to make clearing your driveway and sidewalk easier for professionals. When snow is expected, move your vehicles out of the driveway to make the area easier to access. You should also avoid driving on the snow once it falls.
“[Driving] packs it down and makes it harder to get up. So if you can, just stay inside.”
Krueger also says it’s important to pretreat your driveway and sidewalks.
“If you can manage it, get the salt down before the snow comes, and everything will be a lot easier for everybody in the end.”
