Two men with decades of law enforcement experience will face off in November’s general election for Johnson County, Kansas, Sheriff.Democrat Byron Roberson, the current Prairie Village police chief, ran unopposed in the primary.Doug Bedford, the former undersheriff of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, defeated his former boss, two-term incumbent Calvin Hayden, in the Republican primary.Both candidates highlight their experience as a key factor in the race.“The difference is clear.
