LAKE PALESTINE, Texas (KETK) – It was only a month ago when severe storms rocked people living near Lake Palestine, so on this Fourth of July, the community is coming together to support tornado victims.

“There was a lot of devastation that people don’t know about,” said Bella Vista event venue owner, Dan Crouch. “There’s still people with trees in their yards, electrical poles down and they just don’t have the money to get someone in there.”
That’s why East Texans in this area are locking arms in their recovery efforts to fundraise on one of the busiest days on the lake.
“Everywhere I looked neighbors where helping each other and that’s what we do in East Texas” said Bella Vista manager, Herbert Hilburn.
The Mayor of Coffee City had the idea to pair up with local community leaders to host a firework and music show party to raise money for those affected …
